About The Gym
Fitness4U is a boutique gym offering members the flexibility of accessing the open gym or having supported access through the attendance of classes or personal training sessions. With individual access across an extended opening hour the gym really is your space to use as you please to meet your fitness goals.
Facilities
Yackandandah is a fully functioning gym which includes a range of high quality cardio equipment and both free weight and machine style equipment.
To further support its members and non members the gym also has its own infrared sauna, compression boots and massage chair which members can utilise on a user pay basis.
Group classes

Mens specific class for the mature audience with strength and cardio in mind. 45 minute session.

Developed for the more mature female audience or those just starting out. Great toning, balance, coordination style sessions lasting 45 mins.

A flow style yoga requiring balance and coordination. Great strength routine coupled with traditional yoga movements. 45- 60 minutes.

Based on the techniques of Joseph Pilates this session focuses on glutes, core, back utilising breathing techniques to control movements. 45 minute class.

Great for those wanting to get the max from a session in a limited time. Includes running, rowing, plyometric movements. A 30-40 minute cardio session.

Varied programming at each session which includes a range of timing, equipment and focuses. Great all rounder session lasting 30-40 minutes.

Boxing style format which short sharp rounds. Great way to enhance your cardio and build those shoulder muscles. 30-40 minutes unless otherwise stipulated .

A technically focused session specifically targeting push, pull, lift, carry, hinge and squat style movements. 45 minutes.
Personal Training
If you're looking for a supported training option Fitness4U offers one or one (or other alternatives via agreement) for a trainer led session.
These sessions are tailored to the individual and their needs and are scheduled for 30 mins. Each session is supported and guided so you not only get the most from your training you are equipped with the skills to transfer your technical learning into your own independent gym sessions.

Fitness4U has a FAR Infrared Sauna available for use. The sauna consists of a number of Infrared heaters that emit low level infrared light. The heaters emit Infrared evenly throughout. Whilst there are many benefits to using an infrared sauna the main benefits include

Compression boots

Compression boots use chambered compression to stimulate blood flow and lymphatic drainage. The boots use compression across the limb to stimulate the lymphatic system and can be fully customised to suit all client pressure tolerances. Whilst results can be experienced from a single session multiple use will demonstrate accumulative benefits with regular use.

Using compressed air to massage your legs, mobilise fluid, and speed recovery. Like a blood pressure cuff around your foot, the boots inflate and relax in segments to mimic the natural muscle pump of the body to mobilise waste products and enhance lymphatic drainage.
